Abigail Hendricks is an actor, artist, and mover originally from the D.C. area, now based in Chicago. She is a DePaul Theatre School Acting BFA graduate, and has most recently starred in Elektra, at solstice, a dance performance based on the one person show, Elektra (written and directed by Faith Hart, performed by Abigail in 2019), as well as in the upcoming films Dependent (Birchman Productions) and Anna Key (Key13 films). In addition to her acting work, Abigail delights in exploring her voice as a guide and space holder for yoga, movement and other contemplative practices. She is fiercely committed to celebrating the human experience of having a body, exploring the parallels between us and the Earth, and our bodies as the Earth. Abigail believes that coming close to those connections can help us envision a world that decenters body aesthetics, decolonizes our minds and our society, and grounds us in gratitude, nourishment and abundance.
